16-19 Careers Information
Our key objectives are:
- to encourage self-awareness and development in relation to Higher Education and employability
- to increase confidence in exploring Higher Education and employment opportunities
- to successfully manage transitions from school to university and/or employment as well as future transitions
At Range Sixth Form we support our students in the following ways:
- One-to-one meetings with external Careers Adviser where appropriate
- Completion of an E-portfolio to track skill development
- Extensive support with university, apprenticeship and employment applications including timetabled careers’ sessions
- Support with Oxbridge applications
- Apprenticeship sessions
- Mock interviews
- Higher Education Conference – University of Liverpool
- Higher Education Evening including a session on student finance – delivered by a local Higher Education provider
- ‘Meet the Professionals’ Conference for all Year 12 students
- Twilight sessions with professionals supporting interest in different areas such as: healthcare, business, law, engineering
