Y10 Student Selected to Study at Franz Liszt University, Germany

Congratulations to Y10 student Daniel Hibbert, who was chosen by the Rotary Club of South Liverpool to apply for the Rotarian Junior Masterclass Course of The Franz Liszt Conservatoire and University, Weimar, Germany.

Eighty-eight students up to the age of 18 were chosen from Germany, Poland and Spain and the U.K.

After submitting a recording of his playing of the French Horn, Daniel was selected by the professors of the music department and was the only student from the UK chosen to attend the course at the Franz Liszt University of Weimar.

Daniel attended a week of music tuition, including orchestral and solo tuition and at the end of the week he was chosen to take part in a concert given by the  fourteen best students. He went through to the second round and was awarded a second prize from the New Liszt Foundation.  Well done Daniel!
