Parent Governor Elections |
|
There are places for seven Parent Governors on the Governing Body of this school. They are elected by the parents of pupils at this school to serve a four-year term of office.
A parent is not eligible for election or appointment as a parent governor of the school if they are an elected member of the LEA or if they work at this school for more than 500 hours (i.e. for more than one-third of the hours of a full-time equivalent) in a school year (at the time of the election or appointment).
At present, following the resignation of Mr Steve Gee, there is one Parent Governor vacancy; therefore it is necessary for an election to be held. You may, if you wish, put yourself forward as a candidate, using the nomination form. Please read the general information sheet and the document entitled ‘Qualifications and Disqualifications’ which are also on the website www.range.sefton.sch.uk). The Candidate Information sheet should be used to give information about yourself that you believe will help other parents decide who to vote for in the case of a ballot.

In 2005 we received our third outstanding report. The 19 schools in the country who had 3 consecutive outstanding reports were described by the Chief Inspector in her annual report that year as ‘the best of the best’. |
